Set screw stripped

So I bought a rifle off a guy on here and (minor issue he didn't mention) is one of the set screws that holds the scope base down (Leupold one piece base) is stripped. Looks to be completely round inside (instead of hex) so the Allen key just spins around.

The other two came out fine.

Any thoughts on how to remove this set screw so I can remove the base?

Were the other two easy to remove?
I'd try the torx head suggestion and if that doesn't do it,
I'd try some epoxy.... degrease the rounded out bolt head and glue a smaller allen wrench into the stripped head.
Then I'd be thinking of drilling it out carefully.

If it's not fully stripped, lapping compound can be used to increase the friction to keep it from slipping.

OK its out......................

3/16 drill fits the top of the hole perfect (measured in the other 2)
carefully drilled down until the set screw head was mostly if not entirely gone - then I could pop the base off
vice grips turned out the stub no problem

many thanks guys. I was expecting it to be a much harder job.

Thanks

My initial thoughts (prior to posting) were to do exactly what you said - exopy an old allen key to the set screw which I think would also work very well.
But I wasn't worried about marking the Leupold base so I went with the drill. Otherwise it was going to be glue.

Anybody want a one piece base and rings for a Remington 700 - cheap? (oh yeah - and missing 1 screw....lol)
