Up at our cabin there is an area where everyone goes target shooting. Right now all it has is a target board at roughly the 75 and 125 yard marks.

I would like to add a table, a couple of chairs, an informal shooting line, target boards at roughly 25, 75 and 125 yards, red and green flags, first aid kit, a laminated set of guidelines...

What other things would you recommend I add to make this something better for the community?

Oh, never thought about that!

I was just hoping to improve on what is already there and being used by others. I'm not going to put my name on it!

Would it be any more open to liability after improvements than it currently is?

Not sure what province you are in, but here in ON the CFO looks askance on any improvements whatsoever to a casual shooting place. A permanent bench, for example.
Next thing you know, you'll be dealing with templates and minimum berm hight requirements to qualify.

Not too sure how this varies between public and private land, but do know that a permanent bench left set up on Crown Land .... is a no-no.

I'm in BC, so I don't know how picky they are out here. I was thinking of just making a rough heavy bench from some old lumber we have laying around to leave at the place. There was one before but it fell apart.
