I raised my daughter hunting, fishing and camping as well. I have a 5 year old granddaughter and she loves to go fishing for bass in SE British Columbia. Little people are the greatest!

Last time I got the shakes like that I was following up a wounded bear that came for me. The shot was so close I got blood spray on my shirt and face. Thank god the gun was short (marlin 45-70 guide gun) or the bear would have hit the end of the bbl and knocked it out of my hands.

You nailed it on the head with "family tradition." Although my son is 30 years old, and not little anymore, there is a great thrill for me personally to see him harvest an animal. On the other hand, and seldom it occurs, when one misses there is a bit of ribbing and a lot of laughter. Enjoy and absorb every moment with your little one, we are not here for along time.

Cute & that kid is nobody's fool. After that twitch she at least had the presences of mind to question it & shove a foot at it before picking up the head. I know some old time hunters that had wished they could have had a do over. One got a broken leg out of it!

Watching this adorable little girl really tickles the funny bone. I wish the same for you and others with children to experience these types of priceless moments, in and out of the field little people are the greatest!
