Hell of a price for what you're getting. Anyone have any experience with these?
Yes, I finally put mine to the test yesterday. I have it mounted on a Maverick 88 with a Skinner Sights mount. Initially sighted in with a bore sight laser at 35 yards. First shot was dead on and remained money thru 200 rounds, 50 of them being #8 bird shot, 100 #00 Buck and 50 slugs. There were three of us shooting so we passed it around for the slugs. Three shooters, one dot and one 2.25" hole at 35 yards. I can't find anything to complain about with it. It would be awesome if it was shake awake, but damn, for $59.99 on gunbrokers.com I can deal with turning it off/on manually. The glass is clear, the dot is sharp and the side load battery is a plus. The cover is pretty stiff, I made two small relief cuts to keep it from pressing buttons and turning sight on.

I've seen a lot of reviews stating the glass broke or fell out. Simmons instructions say to make sure it fits the mount and to push forward on the sight while tightening it down to prevent any movement from recoil. I don't know, but have a strong feeling that people reporting failures aren't mounting the sight correctly. Some mounts claim multiple footprints but that only happens because the recoil lugs or pins are smaller diameter. Yeah the sight fits on it but the only thing holding against the recoil are the screws. I tried a cheaper mount, seen the possible error of my ways and replaced it without firing a shot. You may get lucky by pushing it forward so it makes contact with the smaller pins when mounting, as long as the screws don't pull it back when tightening. You won't know till you try it, and you may wreck your new sight because of it. It goes for all sights from all manufacturers, make sure the sight matches the mount.

Looks like $59.99 was a thing of the past. It was about two months ago that they could be found all over for $60~$80. Now the only thing I see is $100. There are quite a few sights at that price point. Personally, I would buy again for $100 because it has proven itself to me. Would definitely choose it over the plastic one from Sig that drops to that price point at times.
