Did you talk to Markus, he goes to Switzerland all the time hunt for firearms and parts. He used to work for Swiss Arms. Tell him what you want and he can probably source it.
I talked to Richard who was importing the Famae rifles. Famae jacked all the wholesale pricing way up to the point were the market is probably not feasible. The rifles landed would be around the same price the Swiss Arms were. The intent of the rifles was to make a cheaper alternative to the Swiss Arms. For some stupid reason Fame wants to get into the US market and they think they are going to take them by storm, by offering a expensive rifle.
Well when I was ordering my rifle, I wanted it in green get the classic look. I was told that ERE/Calgary are nolonger importing the 540s because of the price. They said that the 542 (being a semi auto .308 NR) Still sell like hotcakes but the 540 was too expensive for what it really was. Needless to say I was forced to pick up a tan and when the paint starts to fade I'll probably get it refinished and cerakoted. Still I hope I can find a bi-pod.
