Just a quick question.
Is the factory option tactical handguard for SG552 as same as B&T aftermarket one? In terms of quality and pricing, how does it differ, if at all?

It appears that the Swiss Arms handguard is made by B&T.

Well at least that is how it looks to my untrained eye :) The Swiss Arms handguard from TSE is less money than the B&T model from Wolverine Supplies by a $150 or so.

I bought the SwissArms factory model for my CQB as I was told that the B&T model actually failed testing by SwissArms and that is why they made their own even though they do buy a number of other items from B&T... B&T is more money and falls apart... Pretty easy decision.

Is there a handguard with the "rail" system available? I thought that the BT handguard didn't work on the PE90?

What kind of factory target comes with the CQB?

grouping at what range?

f7

Its not important. The thing is meant as a room broom, not a target rifle.

That said, I'm sure they shoot really, really well.....even the CQB's.....they're just made so well.

TSE has them for the CQB and Carbine but not the green/black special etc. I would buy one in a heartbeat :(

It doesn't make sense that there is no Rail Handguard available for SG550. It would be a great addition to what is already a great rifle.

Someone at TSE put the carbine rail on a black special once, kind of jerry-rigged it into a FF. I held it once, it looked a little funny but really wasn't that bad.

Does someone have a pic?

IIRC Redleg did it -- and I think someone posted that an ARMS rifle length SIR (#59 IIRC) will work affixed to the flattop of a BlackSpecial Target

If you can do that, and there is no slack or reliability issue, then I outta get someone to do that for me. Wonder how much it would cost to custom fit that?

You could just buy the small screw on rails for the factory CQB handguards, the bottom one works very well for a foregrip as do the side ones for a light/laser and are lighter.
