It's prohibited because it's a bullpup stock.
Regulations Prescribing Certain Firearms and other Weapons, Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunition and Projectiles as Prohibited or Restricted

2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

The bullpups available in Canada are perfectly legal because they technically don't have a "stock" to speak of, as it is an integral part of the receiver.

sorry for being a stickler, but can can you elaborate a bit on that? Also based on the canlii passage quoted, i guess it should only make the stock restricted as tee overall length exceeds 33 inches still. But guess i will buy a tar if there are no other options.

There, fixed it for you. And yes, it's trolling when the question has been
repeatedly been asked and answered, but apparently "no" isn't an acceptable
response... #5 = "no", #6 = "no" (again), #11 = "no" (yet again)

there is now such thing as a "restricted" stock. read the laws, do a search. learn WTF a bullpup stock is.

maybe if the search returned sks bullpup any meaningful results, i woild not have been asking here. here's an idea, if you dont have any meaningful answer unlike fnrob, better stfu and post elsewhere. the same goes for the loser after you. Im here to discuss stuff, not waste my time with idiots who take their frustration out on forums.

The test the RCMP firearms lab uses to determine whether it is or isn't a bullpup "stock" is to see whether or not the firearm can fire with the "stock" removed. Since the so called "stock" portion of the firearm is also the receiver in the case of guns like the Tavor, RFB, FS2000, etc., and the firearm cannot operate without them, they are considered to be bullpup "designs", not bullpup "stocks".

Believe me, Canadian laws are a major headache, but be glad this works in our favor in those cases.
