Shadow 2 reliability issues

Have Slavex spend time with you. He knows his stiff and sometimes is a decent shooter. :>). Sounds to me like you are limp wristing which can sometimes relate to anticipating recoil. It sort of is a auto reaction you are not even aware of when you pull the trigger. You take momentum off the slide and you can induce jams like you are describing. Rob is a good guy and I am certain he can fix you up whether it is you or the gun.

CZ's have a well deserved reputation for reliability but things sometimes go array.

Take Care

What do you really know about Shadows and shooting them? Lol!

I heard from an uncle in law who got it from a friend of a cousin that Slavex is a D class shooter living in his mothers basement. Not sure if I want to spread malicious rumours but hey just throwing it out there.

I may well be limp wristing the gun. I'm better than when I started for sure but I think I'm probably anticipating the recoil much more than I realize.

yes it's weird, make an offer to help diagnose a problem, and crickets.

Hey sorry for not responding, I do appreciate the offer. I was actually away that weekend. Between work and the new baby I have such limited time to shoot that it might be hard to actually meet someone to get help. Believe me, I'm not above getting help from people with infinitely more experience than me. For some reason fixing my pistol isn't very high on my wifes list of priorities ;). If you're ever out at Chilliwack Fish and Game maybe I can meet you, I just recently joined there as it's a much closer drive than Ridgedale.

At this point I was thinking I'll go ahead with the extra power extractor spring as I already ordered it and should have it later this week. We'll see.

Slavex would fit that bill. :)
The fella in the video you used to learn about grip, Robert Vogel, was up here not too long ago. I told Vogel that Slavex said "Hi", and Vogel said: "Ahhh.... how's he doing? He's a solid shooter." You're probably doing ok if Vogel speaks well of you. :)

Not sure the extra power spring will help - but I have one if your shipment is delayed. Slavex might too, and Ceezer probably would as well. Don't think that'll do the trick though.

I don't hit Chilliwack at all, I do all my stuff at Abby.
An extra power spring will likely fix the problem, but there is a small chance your chamber might need to be polished (something you'd need someone like Wolverine to do), apparently there have been a few pistols sneak out that had rougher than acceptable chambers that needed polishing, and that led to extraction issues. Not sure how or why this happened, I'm guessing due to rushing stuff out the door.
While grip can absolutely affect extraction and function on light poly framed guns, and is shown repeatedly in tests, on heavy steel framed guns, nope, not a thing.
I'll be out at Abby Tuesday night for Steel, and again this coming weekend for classes Friday and Saturday night and would have time to look at the gun then.

Update: I've put 450 rounds through the gun since installing the extra power extractor spring. So far so good. Will update again once I get up past 1000. Thanks everyone for your input in this thread!
