Just needing advice on spring weights for my CZ. First off what is in it? Second, I plan on running a Kadet kit on it, as well as the 9 of course. Just looking for function. After its broken in and I get more range time with it I might be more concerned with the 9 performance at the expense of the .22 reliability. Thanks.

I run a #12 recoil and #13 main spring in my Shadow. I think the factory recoil spring was #16 and I have no idea what the mainspring was (#18??). I have never tried a KK on a Shadow but I do recall reading somewhere a #15-#16 mainspring is needed to get reliable primer ignition with the 22 upper installed. Have your tried a Google search? Go to the CZ forum.
I don't know about the recoil spring weight, but the stock mainspring weight is 18#. Like Stonehorse, I have a 13# mainspring, but I cut 2 coils from mine and installed an extended firing pin. I get the odd light strike and failure to fire, but it's not a problem, as I don't do the IPSC thing, I just do slow fire target shooting.
