Welp.
. in conjunction with a barrel swap for my AR I have had to start loading in 6.5 Grendel. As 50 cases was running 71$ at the local shop where I found cases an hour away, I decided to see what else can be done. I did my research and found I could resize 7.62x39 into the proper size. So it was off to the races with my plan. It went pretty smoothly for most of the reforming , but I did find the when initially resizing I had to remove a few hundredths from the case holder , this allowed the sizing die to resize/ form the brass. Initially it was allowing a slight swell that was near the bottom of the case that would not allow proper seating in the gauge . Once the material was removed it fit perfectly. I also realized that when resizing the case it was going to have to be length trimmed, no big deal as long as you are aware of it. along the way i shot some Youtube video and here they are showing the transformation from a battle round to a long range shooting bullet.
