Just bought this gun. Cycles fine but Slide seems to "twist" a bit. My old win 1200 didn't allow for so much movenent and I'm surprised this gun does.

Is it a normal qwirk? Is there something I can do to correct the situation?

I mean, I can send the lead where It needs to go...just that it's a tad unpleasant and I'm a bit worried about precision shooting slugs at med range.

Thanks

Yann

Are you referring to the twin operating "arms" that do all the work when cycling? If so, the loose feeling in the action you describe will not affect your accuracy. If your bolt and assembly fit lossely or slop in the receiver that will.

once you take the forend off you will see that they are just held to the tube via tounge and groove with a tension spring holding them in thier slots.

if the foreend is loose they may become jiggity.... maybe take the forend off of the tube, inspect them and then reassemble. I used a 3" nail ben to the width and then sharp point filed off so it did no damage when removing forearm.

Hey, Westicle mind jumping over to Here and catching my 835 question on his other post? LOL

not to sure on that prolem, I just know the pump mecanism because I just helped a buddy switch forearms on his and while doing it one of the arms came loose.

This is just somthing you will have to live with when using a Mossberg pump. All brands have a bit of play, but all the Mossys (835/500/590's) seem to have more play here than the other Major players.
