Was wondering if anyone out there has loaded for 300 Win using 210 VLD's. I have some H1000 on hand and can get any other Hodgdon, IMR, or Alliant powder locally.
It'll be comming out of a 26" Heavy Barrel Rem 700 XCR.
I'll share my 185 VLD load.
Berger 185 grain VLD's, 77.1 grains of Hodgdon H1000, CCI BR2 Primers, was using Nosler brass.
I oddly enough used this as my starting point, lo and behold it absolutely was singing. 1/2" @ 100 yards, 5 shot groups. I worked my way up all the way to 79.1 grains with no signs of excess pressure whatsoever. Everything in between was a little squirrely. However at 79.1 It was noticeably hotter but still retained a solid 1/2" Group. Keep in mind I'm no professional and was extremely pleased with the results.
