Well here she is, my brand new CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Line. This is my first firearm and i have to say she's a beaut. I've been waiting on her for just over a month but it was so worth the wait. Special thanks to silverfoxdj for the sound advice and suggestions. I'm going to the range tomorrow so I'll update with a report as soon as possible. Hope you all enjoy the photos and if you have any questions ask away.

A great choice for your first pistol, however after shooting it, another cZ will be on the way.

Swap out the stock 18lb mainspring for a 13 lb one, and you'll think you're in heaven... Easy peasy and cheap, too.

I have a CZ 85 Combat and it's a heck of a good 9mm. I know you'll love this new 75. Thanks for the tip on the spring Stevebc. I think I'll try that one out.

The grips are (as far as i know) special to the Shadow Line. They are thin aluminum grips and they have a great texture. I got to compare them today with someone at the range who had the regular Shadow with rubber grips, and while both feel nice, i much prefer the aluminum grips. Other than that, i got to shoot 100 rounds through her today and she ran flawlessly, however, the gun revealed that i am an absolutely horrible shot :p. I guess I'll just have to buy lots and lots of ammo and shoot a lot :ar15::rockOn:... FML :p

I found that I need a combination of the thin aggressive checker grips and the original rubber, like so:

When I put both thin grips on, there was a gap on the right side that didn't feel right. I admit, this looks a tad odd, but it works for me.

What are those grips and where can I get a set?

Sorry for taking so long to reply- those are made by CZ Custom, and are called Thin Aggressive Checker, but they haven't made any for a while. (Or hadn't when I tried to order some from their website.) I asked around the forum and someone had a set for sale, so I snatched them up.
