Im heading out after lunch on the quad in hopes to find some sheds. Its been a weird year as Im still seeing bucks with horns here in Southern Sask. Hows everyone else doing? Lets see some big sheds

The bucks coming into my trail cams are still sporting there headgear, I found one small shed a month ago and nothing since. Its been a weird year.

A friend is mounting a pair of big sheds he found in Alberta this year (he's a taxidermist), kinda neat seeing a mount come together from an animal that's still alive.

So we've crossed a few sets but last week on the South Sask river we found a nice 5x5 at the 150 mark.
Gonna look for mulie sheds in around Lake Dief today.

just got back form chaking my trail cameras and deer still have there antlers on. its snowing like crazy here so no shed hunting today!

I have one little section of the 100 acre Swamp bush left that I haven't checked. Haven't found one shed yet. Usually find at least one match set a year. I had two big bucks hanging around most of the winter. I really wanna find that 6x6 set.

Was out yesterday and found 6 no pairs though...nothing big but I think most have dropped around my area.

On the way home from the farm today, a young mule deer crossed the road in front of me, still had it's antlers. That's the first muley I've seen this late with horns. Am still seeing the odd white tail with antlers though.

I have never looked for sheds before. I found my first one when the season just opened. A 5 point whitetail. Only one though I could never find the other.

A friends father uses a an old picnic table with some grain strewn underneath to get sheds. Judging by what he has in his barn, it works very well.

I know a few guys that do this with molasses and corn and I have seen more sheds from them than anyone else ever!!

I am going to try this. Maybe I could still get a few this year.

Every year I say I am going to go out shed hunting but have never made it out. One of these days i am going to make it out.

I find while out turkey scouting or hunting its a good time to slowly walk and look. If you hear a gobble set-up and hunt. Killing two birds with one stone.
