Does anyone have any details on the sheep that were poached in southern Alberta recently? I heard from the guys at work that it was on the news last night, but missed it.

There are many hear say details floating around but I cant find any solid information. I wont post anything I have heard or read untill I see some more evidence.

Anyone know anything about this?

Ya, I read that as well. Just not much as far as solid details go.....

I am surprised that there isnt anything I can find in the news or on SRD's web page etc.

my grandmother phoned me and told me she saw this on the news at 6. i watched at 11 and didn't see anything other than they were talking about those horses out by sundry and how they found a wris####ch at the scene.

she said 4 rams and a ewe were poached down by pincher creek.

sh*tty if true.

I read about it on Alberta Outdoorsmen message board. It just gets me worked up everytime I read about it. My brotherinlaw was telling me the other day how a herd of elk were by his house and surrounding land of his and a neighbour's. He was talking to the neighbour who said a fellow came to his house and said he tried to cut the elk off on a field by driving all over it, tooks some shots, but missed and came to see if he could get PERMISSION to hunt it. The landowner said hunting season was over, and the guy presented his Metis card. The landowner said to the fellow that "I'm no less white than you are" and first you drive all over my land and Then come ASK for permission. Get the F%$@# out of here and dont let me catch you out here again. Then the hunter beaked off to say he had rights to hunt for substanance, and that the elk were eating the few bails stockpiled in the field. The landowner just said "the elk need to eat too, and you are just abusing your treaty card. I hope I see this guy on our land b/c I sure will bust his ass for tresspassing-No second thoughts what so ever! since the elk are roaming on a few of our quarters of land in the area.

I better stop before I blow a gasket
