The rims of this cartridge are a little larger in diameter than the .45-70. I could reduce the diameter somewhat to fit in my .45-70 shell holder, but I'd prefer to keep the rims their original diameter if I can find a shell holder that will do the job. Anyone know where such a shellholder might be found?
 
All my ref. mat'l. show the same p/n for it as the 45/70, you may have to buy a RCBS #14 and open it up a bit with a Dremel.
 
I know that the original rim diameters won't fit in a 45-70 shell holder, as I've tried it and ended up having to file the rim diameter down a bit the last time I owned a .45-60 so that I could use them in my 45-70 shell holder. For tradition's sake, I'd like the two boxes of .45-60 cartridges I ordered from Rocky Mountain Cartridge to stay with their original specs. I'll check into the RCBS #14. Thanks, Ben.
