Just wondering what they are worth? The one Iam looking at doesn't run its just sitting in a guys Barn its all there, no parts missing, tracks are intact except no engine and main gun is welded.

Ive always wanted one to have as a display, or a place to hide when the wife is pissed at me :D

If it is complete (minus engine isn't a big deal) you are looking at $250k. Do some research too and find out where it is from (much of the real armour spread around may actually still be technically owned by DND, many legions, municipalities, etc sold monuments without the legal right to do so and DND may want them back at some point).

Haa I'll chime in. I passed up buying a fully running m4a2 sherman for 120k. It was in Alberta a few months ago. It was sold to someone in Ontario but its been quiet as to who bought it in the military circle.
Message me if you have any questions. I have recently started working/ restoring larger military vehicles as boomer74 has mentioned lol

:D

is that because it would be reasonably safe lol

hmmmmn get one or two of your buds with a 24 of beer .........drink and spin the turret around .

There's the price of the tank, then there's the price (financially and personally) to restore and operate it. It's an all consuming passion or it doesn't work (ask me how I know).

The local library has an awesome book on the Sherman. Like Chilton repair manual in-depth.
Not like factory service manual but pretty awesome none-the-less.
I'll find out the author next time I'm there.
