Shimming am AR15 Beo Magazine?

So I have a type 97 and I just bought some new CPD .50 Beowulf magazines to go with it. They fit rather loose in the magwell compared to my other ones (different production run difference maybe?) and they are prone to causing feeding issues as they tend to move around in the magwell. I shimmed them with some electrical tape but its not a permanent solution as it peels off after a day of use. Anyone know of a little more permanent solution to shim them effectively?

The problem has been solved. Some industrial strength velcro tape and a pocket full of dreams has made it so they fit and function flawlessly.

Don't know about shimming but, the IMI PVC mags on the other thread have been reported as working really well in the T97.

That's Plan B, I'll hock my CPD mags and buy a lot of IMI beowulf mags. BUT only if I cant find a solution with the mags I already have.

They work in AR15, SCAR-L, and Tavor. Those are all the ones I've used them in since getting them recently.

What about building up a edge of epoxy or jb weld then filing to a tight fit.

Wouldn't modifying them in any way to fit your t97 better make them prohibited?

I'm thinking Odd Shot might be into something, probably safer to modify the naval magwell than your mags

You'd never know unless you post it. I'd rather have the CPD mags than the IMI any day but then that's just me.

Well I shimmed them with some suggestions I got elsewhere. I'll take them to the range tomorrow and see how they fair.
