I'm looking at a scope for my new R25. I'm between a Bushnell 4200 Tactical 6-24x50 and a Falcon Menace 4.5-18x56.

My issue with the Falcon is I'm not sure if I can get rings high enough to mount it (Leupold high rings don't look quite high enough), just due to the 56mm objective. Otherwise it looks great(and the price is right!)

I've looked at the 4200, and really like it, and has a bunch of features I really like (the mildots at 12 is great, and I love the turrets). Problem is it's only got an advertised 50 MOA of adjustment, which wouldn't let me stretch the .308's legs as far as I'd like. I've read that with a 20MOA base it'll get to 1000.

So is there anyway to shim the scope/mounts when mounting to a fixed picatiny rail on an AR?

Yes, real simple.

I can offer you Burris Sig zee rings in 30mm in high and Xtra high. These come with shims for each ring to shim your scope as much as 20mins.

That'll help you max the elevation adjustment in the scope.

PM me as my stock is on route.

Jerry
