what's wrong with the scope/ reddot? making rifle shiny is of big question to me
I am Russian, but don't understand your "nyet rifle"... u mean rifle w/o mods is fine, that's why you use "nyet" ...? "nyet" -in Russian means no.. you just said "no rifle" which makes no sense

I like looking at a firearm not only because it's cool to shoot.
People who likes sadam's AKs understand.
Some likes shining rims, some don't. Car rims still has a utility and are not only aesthetic.
Why some prefer real wood on a 858 than bakelite? Does it shoot better?
I don't know why we all have to debate on this everytime I shine a gun!
That's a wall hanger for a gunroom... or a showoff gun.
And no... you can't shoot corosive if you want to keep it clean... like I said it's like a shinny blade... you wont put your Katana in a bath of salt water.
And for those who are not reading every post. I wanted to plate it... but it didn't worth it... +675 for chrome, +975 for gold

Yuppers if you google it and go images there is a nifty poster. Modding is modding different Strokes, 4 different folks. I was only reminding you that it was a strange question as you yourself where making your Sks rifle “shiny” and different in your own way. Modding is fun but not for me I opt out... does it look good yup does anything you do to an Sks make it better it’s questionable. They also aren’t being made anymore I like stock collectable examples. Yugos, type 56, unissued(lmao LOL don’t exist). I’ve cycled through about 100 Sks rifles and I have found that whatever you do to it. It’s still an Sks, in most people’s eyes. Great platform however it’s limited by the ammo and design it’s a battle rifle, good to go the way it is . Also just my opinion here but all those mods, could buy you something valuable like a yugo. Long term these mods make the rifle worthless, to me anyways. A collector type like a 1949 or yugo or even a type 56 left alone will go up in value anything you modify will be worth half of what it was when you started l. There is a reason people are desporterizing enfields the parallels are obvious
I guess, if OP enjoys looking at his shiny rifle, especially if it's one of the best semi-auto, which SKS definitely is.. then... I take it as THE utility.... as I have to confess, I like looking at my rifles.... it's a special meditation feeling... so... the utility is mediation... I have no problem now with such mod
920 for gold plating? Honestly I thought it would be more. Personally I'd love a chrome up polished SKS and a Gold one! OMG would be one of the first things I'd seek out if I win the 60 million Lotto Friday. That and a gold SVT40... please lotto max

I would need a big ass tank to do a rifle barrel. Wich are pretty expensive. There is also the disposal of these toxic concerns.
I would need 3 different bath to do show chrome = $$$
Nickel plating as a small yellow tint that looks like stain and I don't like it.
Maybe one day I'll make such investment to do diffent things like motocycle and old car parts too.

Looks great, I agree...wall hanger, and what's wrong with that? If it was mine I wouldn't shoot it, it would be mounted right over my desk when my old musket sits right now. For $200 I'd go get another SKS to shoot. Honestly, I'd prefer an interesting gun hanging on my wall over some random painting. Same deal with the price, looks like a ton of work went into it and if he asks $800 woop de doo, if it's too expensive for you then just move on. I just don't understand the negativity. Nice work man.
