Hi,

Does anyone know of any stores in the US that will ship shotgun barrel’s to Canada? I’m having a hard time finding one.

Thanks,
Rich

Well I just got off the phone with Brownells and they don’t carry any rifled slug barrel for my Nova. :(

Anybody have any suggestions for me?

Thanks,
Rich

Call Western Gun Parts in Edmonton. If they don't have it in stock, they can likely get it for you.

If you absolutely can't buy the barrel you need in Canada, make sure the American supplier can ship USPS ground (Postal service). That's the cheapest method bar none - usually takes about a week. If they only ship UPS to Canada, add 100% of the US price for the part for currency conversion, tax, and brokerage fees. Ouch!

whats the advantage?

If you mean between the USPS and UPS, it's that UPS runs everything through their in-house customs broker and that costs you about $65. There's not a damn thing you can do about it, because it's the law. You ordered the product, the carrier ran it through customs - all legal.

USPS, however, doesn't run anything through any broker (let alone their own in-house overpriced broker) and they simply deliver the product to your door. Free trade.

" Its the law"
Not true, while UPS does show up at the door with your package and wanting brokerage fees, you can refuse to accept the package and go to thier depot get the paperwork, clear the customs yourself then bring them back the paperwork and take possession.
The thing is, where you live that makes it worthwhile or not. In a large city with a customs office a reasonable distance it does, if you live in a rural area, most likely not.
