When I ship ammo with DHL do i have to tell them what it is or pay some type of hazerdous good charge ? i will be shipping via ground service

You will need to tell them it is dangerous goods. Depending on the quantity you may be able to ship it as a limited quantity which gets you out of some of the TDG regulations. You'll still need a label on the box with a DG label.

I have never dealt with DHL but I imagine there will be a DG charge of some sort.

Edit: I see you're in Winnipeg. If you need help shipping it feel free to PM me. Shipping DG's are one the things I do for a living.

shipping

I am shipping 900 rounds of .223 factory ball ammo from wpg to newmarket on.I will be paying the freight and would like it to be as painless(read cheap) as possible. I was told motopak has a 5$ hazerdous goods up charge, and they would probably be the cheapest.any advise would be helpfull.I have shipped alot of guns but never ammo.
