Shipping Barrels to the US for repair/alteration?

Hi All,

I am thinking of sending an O/U barrel set to the US to have choke and forcing cone work done. What is needed to do this in terms of permits, etc., and has anyone sent barrels to Briley, R and D barrel service, Mike Orlen, etc.,?

I sent mine to mile orlean... I am in a bit of a unique situation though... I drive to the states daily, so I brought the barrel in myself under a valid ATF form 6, then sent it to him via UPS. Picked it up at the ups store, brought it back to canada myself. Better call the ATF and customs and border protection if you are going to ship by mail. Not sure what's required for that process.
