Shipping Costs Now and Future

You're making gross assumptions…
I also shipped a CZ455 .22LR to BC and because the box was over 100cm (109cm) and I added $800 in insurance, with "do not safe drop and signature" and the "oversize" fee, it was $93.11 so maybe don't just make a blind assumption. Shipping has become SERIOUSLY expensive.

If you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all

Shipping Canada Post has become seriously expensive for me as well.

The last two rifles I sent were $96.00 each shipped from BC to Ontario.

This included no drop, a signature required, expedited parcel and full insurance to $750.00.

It is making it crazy expensive to ship anything anywhere!

Certainly takes the fun out of buying, selling and trading.

Moving forward, I probably won't be selling many items........:(

wow you edited my post? that's low!

I never said above things. Your business is truly as shady as you are.
Besides, people who say nice things only are true hypocrites.

You can't compare shipping from Ontario to BC the same as from BC to Ontario. Canada post charges surplus and taxes based on the province its going to not the origin.

I have had good experiences with shiping from Wanstalls, and know what canada post has charged me to ship from Alberta to Ontario.

Easy check is for you to plug in your postal code and theirs as them shipping to you, plug in a small package and see what the cost is.

I've found shipping to be hit or miss. It is increasing in price and I've not bought things due to the cost of shipping but I just had a new shotgun in a hardcase go from Alberta to Ontario cheaper than the cost to mail a hat from a dealer in ontario

It doesn't matter that it’s a pair of ear plugs, its weight and size.

Is it me or does this sound like an oxymoron? Last I checked, em Axils are… wait for it… light and small!

I too wanted to try them but abandoned cart. That said I’m not understanding this thread neither. Wanstalls will just get out competed by other retailers in the eventual if everyone else ships cheaper. Just business why is everyone here complaining and name calling. Lots of hunters and shooters in Maple Ridge they’ll prob be alright with local biz.

Shipping prices are stupid right now
I bought a rifle from a different site sponser (Marstar), over the phone and the shipping was around 120 bucks
They double checked and triple checked because they even thought it was way too much but that’s what it ended up being
It sucks but what do you do? I am sure all businesses are taking a bit hit from lack of sales due to shipping costs
I was looking on e bay the other day and noticed that things that used to cost 20 bucks to ship are now 45 to 50
Thank sockboy and his minions they are the ones to blame

We can just add cheap shipping the other items us gunnies complain about.

$200sks
$99 Italian M1 Garands
$25 Lee Enfields
$50/brick primers
etc
etc
etc

It is what it is unfortunetly.

I looked at buying a rifle butt pad from an Ontario retailer this summer. I didn’t because the Canada Post shipping was almost $40. I don’t understand that when it can fit into a prepaid Canada Post shipping box that ships nationwide for almost half of that.

Yeah something doesn’t add up. I buy a majority of stuff online from clothes to electronics, yet firearm accessories are the only thing I pay such high shipping prices on.

A LOOOoooOoooOoT of guys in here need to learn about the flat rate boxes. It makes me smack my fore heard. Stop spending 60$ to mail a scope when it fits in a 23$ flat rate

This is true to an extend.

You can't modify/add insurance coverage on a flat rate box. So your scope or whatever is in it is only covered for 100$. Lots of folks are fine with it and ship/get shipped with basic insurance. But not everyone and certainly not business.

FROM past experience in the shooting sports industry shipping companies always negotiated deals up to 50% off charts rates. We had to average a certain numbers of parcels a day. Bulk parcel rates I assume are still negotiable.

I just mailed 2 shotguns a couple weeks ago, both going to different places in Ontario. There was a fuel surcharge, oversized item charge, etc. all in both packages combined it cost me $165. That was the absolute cheapest possible delivery method for CP. if you look on the EE and see peoples price “shipped”, that’s becoming a smoking deal. I also understand now why people insist on buyers paying shipping.

It was edited because your comment was rude to another member for no reason and this is our forum. If you wanna be a wanker do it elsewhere.

You make comments about high shipping prices and when we ask you for info to help improve the shopping experience you offer another lame response. Wanna actually make a change? offer some help.
