Is there a legal problem in shipping reloading equipment, for example a Lee 50th Anniversary Press Kit to the USA? I got a great price on one through work and would like to send it to a friend in New Mexico as a gift. Ordering one through Midway is tough using a Canadian Credit card and anyway, I already have the kit and won't use it myself as I use the Hornady LNL system.

Any problems anyone knows about just keeping the kit boxed up and sending it South? It is new in the box, never used.

Shouldnt be a problem . I know there is no problem sending reloading tools from the US to Canada so doubt there is any problem the other way .

I live 15 minutes from the border. Would it be feasible and cheaper to just go down across the line once everything opens up and mail it from U.S. to U.S. instead of Canada to U.S.? Or does trying to do that open up a whole new can of worms? I want to do things as cheaply as possible, but I don't want to create any problems for myself or the person I want to send the press kit to.

I suppose once things open up I could just drive to the border and ask, but sometimes just asking draws attention and suspicion for no other reason than it has become politically correct to question anything related to the shooting sports and community. I don't want to get flagged over a 240.00 dollar press kit.
