Shipping Restricted Firearms - First timer

Hi there, I sold my first restricted firearm to an individual and think I underestimated what is involved on my side. Aside from the CP restrictions (no expedited, no priority shipping), what else is required? Is there a step by step guide for noobs like me? Do I need an ATT or do anything more than just put it in a box and ship with signature required?

Open a small business account (it is free) and use Snap Ship to print your label.

Package accordingly and ship.

You do need the STATT as the gun is no longer registered to you.

I just realized that the CP charges $3.50 to pickup the package. That would save me needing the ATT, I believe. Major time save!

I'm sure any one of us would happily pay $3.50 to NOT have to call in to the CFP, lol. Probably the best $3.50 you'll ever spend.

A couple of not well known details:

Requires Snap Ship account (easy to do, and saves a bit of cash)
REGULAR or EXPEDITED service are the only options (Expedited is a free upgrade for Snap Shippers, includes $100 free insurance)

You can get an ATT from the CFP website directly if the firearm in question is listed there in your account (most are). Also, CFOs of some provinces can handle ATT requests by direct email.
