Where can I actually use this stuff? Want to try it out, im in Quebec and im assuming can only be used at an out door range?
Will the range even let me use it? Just curious..

Ask the range. In Ontario it's prohibited at all ranges. Not sure about Quebec yet. Your best bet is at somebody's farm far away from people or on crown land in the boonies somewhere.
 
As far as I know, all the brands of exploding targets available up here are the same basic formula, ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder. The ratios may be slightly different between brands, but they all work on the same ingredients.

Be sure to check out this recent thread on the issue. The original poster was brave enough to put it out there and post his experience, including dealing with police afterwards. One of the manufacturers has chimed in on that thread with valuable info about keeping usage legal, and we all owe a duty to each other to use these in places and contexts that won't cause the public to blame us.

And more than a little preaching....not to mention "the sky is falling!" type posts.
 
I said it from day one, use it on your own land if you want to avoid getting in ####. I don't know how many assclowns posted videos on here shooting it at shooting ranges. Best case you get a lifetime ban from your range, worst case CFO shuts down your range. You did just post "video evidence" of yourself at your range for the world to see like a moron.....
I have no beef with the product, just ####wads being more concerned with YouTube then trying to use it smart. There are a million videos online already from the US, the #### all blows up the same, don't need to see you doing it too.

Tannerite comes with a bright orange label.
SW has a dark label
Gryphon Energetics has both yellow and pink labels.


Oh yeah, GE has a bit more aluminum powder, and seems louder and more reliable...
