Shoot or save it?

I just acquired a tikka m91 still in grease. Would it hurt the value much if I cleaned and fired it or or should I just get another shooter? Thanks for the imput
 
Seeing that most 7.62x54 is corrosive, having something still in grease gives me the small piece of mind that I don't have to worry about the previous owner doing a poor cleaning job. I don't own a m91 but I can't imagine it being that different than another mosin make. I'd say keep it in the grease and get yourself a beater for the shooter if you want absolute value retention.
