Better than an axis or a Ruger Australian Bogan?
i think its better than the axis, an proberly very much on par with the Ruger americans. like the basic ones.
it kind of reminds me of a marlin x7 i once had but with a magazine? better bolt handle.
the girl isnt huge fan of the #### on opening but i think she just needs to be more firm there- also sometimes she cycles the bolt, then opens it to see if a case went in-- instead of trusting the bolt to pick up the round as its designed- new to rifles you see.
you cant really see infront of the bolt into the chamber without really gettin your head out- but as above just told her to trust it, until it ??? fails?? then theres an issue, until then, cycle it an assume its loaded hot.,
with this out of the way , she will be all over it.
magazine clip isnt great inside the trigger- iwill agree with that.
you can hear her mention the triggers sliight creep- she is used to pistol 2 stage so doesnt hate it- but we think it isnt consistant, sometimes a clean break, sometimes a slight 2 step
shoots great with a few loads now- recoil pad is O K not great as its marketed as imo.
we need to throw some Leupold Low rings on it when she upgrades scope-- lower it a tad. will suit her more. is ok for me.
safety is 2 way, locks the trigger, can cycle bolt- we dont mind this at all- gettin into habit of flicking safety on after lifting the bolt an ejecting- safety doesnt initiate until its cocked- if makes sense.
reasonably light for sure- on that 3.5kg - so not ultra , fairly standard. but not a heavy feeling gun..
