I heard that .50 bmg is a powerful rounds that you cannot shoot in up-right position. Is it true?
I mean even Arctic Warfare Super Magnum can be shot in up-right position.
(up-right position=standing)
Please help
One more thing is .338 Lapua legal in Canada

?
Most 50's with proper brakes recoil like 3" pump shotguns
?

.338 is legal. Heck I don't think any ammunition is illegal based on the actual calibre. Type of ammunition yes. (5.7mm comes to mind).

My neighbor has 50bmg necked down to 45 and we shoot it all of the time standing. I really kicks the sh*t out of you and you almost drop the gun but it is possible. There isn't a break on it either.

Most 50s are so heavy that it is very difficult to shoot them standing. However, if ya can hold it up, no different than any other rifle, just louder.

"...Is it true?..." Not if you're big and strong enough. Knew a guy who could shoulder a .50 BMG with no trouble. CF wouldn't let him shoot it though.
You need to do the PAL course.

.25 and .32 firearms are prohibited, don't know about ammo itself.

That doesn't even come close to being true. Most handguns in those calibres are prohibited (though not all) but none of the ammo is and certainly not the calibre itself. IE. 257 Roberts, 25-30, 32-20, 32-40, 32 Special and dozens more.

Prohibited ammo is incendary or explosive projectiles or fletchettes in shotgun shells.

Keep a 50 where it belongs , on a bipod. :D
