CRAFM/CTM and myself are proud to announce that IPSC/USPSA Grand Master shooter and two times US National Champion Chris Tilley will be offering two practical courses right here at CTM during the week of the Montreal Indoor Challenge. There will be a beginner/intermediate course on Tuesday January 24th and an advanced course on Wednesday January 25th. The courses will be from 4pm to 10pm and will be limited to 6 people per course. This is a great opportunity for all shooters at any level to see a big improvement in their shooting as well as learning from one of the greatest shooter in our sport and a truly accomplished instructor.
Beginner/Intermediate--- 6 hours, 350 rounds minimum January 24th 2012:
- The draw(freestyle with hands at sides and hands at surrender);
- Sights(how/where);
- Grip/Grip pressure;
- Trigger control;
- Freestyle stance;
- Target transition back and forth;
- Magazine loads no movement;
- Draw unsupported strong hand with target transition;
- Draw unsupported weak hand with target transition;
- Kneeling shooting;
- Prone shooting;
- Into and out of position freestyle, kneeling, prone and barricade
- Magazine loads with movement at beginning and end of movement
Price: 250$/person
Advanced---6 hours, 500 rounds minimum January 25th 2012:
- Sighting in: Group shooting freestyle, strong and weak hand(warm-up);
- Magazine loads with movement at beginning and end of movement;
- Forward/backward movement into freestyle, barricade, kneeling and prone;
- Moving while shooting: Static to moving and moving to static;
- Triangle drill;
- Mental aspect:
Calling your shots
Categorizing your target(1-4)
Hit factor
- Movers:
The do’s and the don’ts
Double, single, apex and bottom
Transitioning into vs away
Leading or no leading
- Field course including:
Shooting while moving
Kneeling/Prone
Magazine loads at beginning and end of movement
Moving targets
Price: 300$/person
