Looking to treat the wife and myself to a weekend handgun course in June.

Anyone have any suggestions on what courses are available, etc?

She has a Browning Practical and is thinking of going the IPSC route next year.

The course doesn't have to be IPSC related though, even a good combat or tactical handgun primer is fine.
 
I'd say the best course you could take with your Wife if she's thinking of IPSC is the Black Badge... That will give her a taste of what its really like and the skills involved. And having you there will give her someone to beat... (..er... I mean compete with. :) )

Many IPSC oriented courses other than that will require the BB to let you play. Don't know about other "tactical" pistol courses in Canada.
 
If you perform a google search on SR precision you will find a guy that does just the type of course you are looking for. He and I work together on some courses and offer a variety of different training courses based on your needs...oh, and the price is very reasonable too!

ive taken a advanced ipsc course with SR precision, i was more then happy what we daid that day.
Just a tip, bring lots off ammo , be ready to run around and listen to what SR has to say or he gets grumpy :)

Jake is a good Guy. Shoot with him all the time . He is a open GM in the US, that means you have to bring your guns to the us. Or bring Jake to you. Either way you will not be disappointed you will learn a lot.
