so Mike B, Alex S and I completed day 1 of the Kongsvinger Open, Standard Championships. Alex was in the Open Super Squad and I was with Mike B in the Standard Super Squad along with Travis Tomasie, Henning Walgren and a bunch of local top level shooters. I had one good stage out of 12, I'm a bit distracted as my dad passed away yesterday rather suddenly, whilst I'm in Norway shooting. However everyone here has been awesome, and the support has been great.
back to the shooting. great stages in a spectacularly situated range. difficult but not impossible shots, thinking/mental stages, and just pure fun stages. I'll be uploading pics and vid when I get back. the people here are friendly and helpful, even if you are their competition. The good natured companionship exhibited here is something we could all learn a lot from, I know I have. if you are ever over in this part of the world for another match, make a point of checking out one in Norway before or after. easy to clear customs and well worth the trip.

sorry for your loss. I attended a funeral today in NS. Cancer is the most horrible disease out there.....

Oh crap Rob, My sincerest condolences as well. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. I am sure he would want you to do your best and make him proud, which I know you will. Our thoughts are with you.

You have my sympathies Slavex, I wish you the best and look forward to pics/vids. If you get a chance, try some Lutefisk. The Norwegian food of pride/shame. :)

thanks everyone!

I stayed away from pretty much all fish while there! I'm in a mansion in Vienna right now, then being driven over to Czech tomorrow afternoon by my friends driver. it's so nice here that I almost don't want to leave.
Alex and Mike did a good job of representing Canada and placing 2nd (I think that's right) in their divisions. I came in a dissapointing 12th. had a hard time getting any drive going, or seeing what I was doing. I'm going to focus more in Czech I hope. Still had a ton of fun though, amazing country, and great people
