Shooting in the dark possible?

Im sure it will "work" lol but the question is in the legality and proximity to "civilization". Id air on the side of caution.

its a waste of time and money. no point shooting at things you can't see. plus that doesn't sound safe, i'd air of the side of caution too.

Best I heard was someone posting from up in the NWT or somesuch last year, 24 hours of daylight at that time of year.

Update: Brought a flashlight and had a target in the quarries I was shooting in earlier in the daylight. Took turns shooting, one person holding the flashlight. Was cold and inconvenient at times but definitely wasn't bad.

if you get a weapon mounted light it can be quite doable. If by some miracle you can get a hold of some tracers they can make a pretty cool light show at night, just be careful about starting fires with them.

Actually, low and no light shooting is a good skill set if you work in an environment that may require it. IE military or the like. Weapon mounted lights.

Of course, seek proper instruction and a proper location.

Is there any courses for defensive night shooting in Ontario?

Would be a good skill to have like previously mentioned.

It makes the commandment "Be sure of your target, and what is BEYOND it" a lot tougher to be certain of....

Is it possible? Most certainly.
Can it be done safely? Depends on the situation I guess...

No problem with a rifle mounted light. I have an M3 light on my Guide gun on the left. I also mount the M3 and a TLR-1 on the Mossberg 500 on the right. It has a light mount on the magazine.

Wear welding goggles and shoot during the day. I've been saying the army should do that for our "night sup" for years. If you can see it (and your sights) you can shoot it.

Its 9:22 pm, does anyone ever go shooting outdoors now? It's pretty dark here but I want to go shooting and I wanna know if it works or is a waste of time.

Wont work.

After 8 PM primers won't work. Labor union basics.

Clearly a waste of time to try.
