Hi all,

I'm sure some of you have shot matches in the states. I'm wondering how and where you keep the high capacity magazines.

I'm planning to shoot some PCC matches south of the boarder. It's not going to be a regular thing, but I really want to dump some regular capacity mags.

Thanks

For infrequent trips, mags are cheap enough that you can consider them disposable...Ive picked up PMAGs for $12-$15 each and then gifted them to squad mates. You can sometimes see Tapco or others for $10. Look for whatever is on sale at the local big box store or Wal-Mart.

If you go down often and don’t have a friend or family member you can store them with, I know of guys who chip in and rent a cheap storage locker just over the border....

Or just shoot in a state like NY, NJ, MA, CT etc. where your Canadian pistol mags are already at the limit the law allows...

I have been shooting in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota & Arizona since 2012. Your Form 6NIA allows you to legally purchase ammunition in the US as long as you don't bring it back. Over the years I have developed many shooting buddies down south that will store things like ammo & magazines for me until the next time my wife and I come down to shoot. This way nobody's laws get broken and nobody gets their nose out of joint.

I think it's common for the guys near Michigan to travel with a rivet gun. I'm near Buffalo and shoot revo so it's not an issue.

Shooting in the USA is much more fun and with door prizes most of the matches are shot free or super cheap.

Lets not go there or next thing we no the RCMP won't approve riveting as a permanent fix!
