Hello people, I want to be able to shoot targets further than 300 yards in Quebec but I'm not sure where I can find a range that allows that.

I'm also looking for a range that has steel targets in Quebec/Ontario. I'm not even sure if that exists.

Only thing I’m aware of is in valcartier. The Quebec provincial rifle association runs f class / tr matches out to 600m and the base club runs prs/elr matches.

You’re also pretty close to Ontario, not sure if Connaught is running this year, but you could look in Ontario

There were two DCRA style long ranges in southern Quebec - Sand Hill and Mansonville. Three if you count St Bruno. Unfortunately, the first two were at clubs that were either taken over by "short" sighted members who ignored the long range option or suffered from disappearing interest. St Bruno has 1000 yds, but the army decommissioned it in the 1990s.

Is either Valcartier or Connaught open to civilians?

They are if you go to an organized event put on by either the DCRA or PRA. They’re not open for the general public to drop by whenever.

I think Connaught is still undergoing renovations, and I think the DCRA and Ontario PRA are using Borden, but I’m not certain.
