Shooting the Springfield "Timber wolf" Carbine with the Cast Accurate 36-195R Bullets

I am pleasantly pleased to share the results of my test loads today in my .357 Magnum Timberwolf Carbine.

The Mould I used to cast these bullets is the Accurate Custom Mould # 36-195R.

All of these targets were shot at 50 yards, at -2 Degrees Celsius.

All pertinent load info for each load is documented on each target image.

I never had the chance to take any chronograph data today. I obviously need to get that info pronto! LOL! Hope you like the pictures and info.

Hope you like the pictures!

Hopefully I can get out to retrial these loads soon, to confirm their potential!

Wow, it sure likes those 4227 loads! Looking good! Are those tumble lube or standard lube groove? I see they say Ranch Dog on the targets. I have the same mold and love it.

This is the tumble lube type. I prefer the standard lube grooves, but I lube and size this tumble lube bullet through my Lyman lube/sizer at .360"
The correct/ exact bullet mould number from Accurate bullet moulds is the 36-195R.
A large metplat that really transfers energy to the target quickly!

I am hoping to try 13.0 and 13.5 grains of IMR4227 with this bullet. I will see what the highest velocity I can achieve with this bullet before accuracy starts to suffer.

The term Ranch Dog may be erronous, but the mould number is 36-195R.
