Shooting the Swedish Mauser m/41 sniper this morning....

That is quite the rifle, I've never even seen one before. Thanks for sharing - I subscribed to your YouTube channel - I like your Boer Mauser, as well.

I noticed the "moderator" in the background…would love to have those in Canada.

Many [probably as much as 50%] of our 300+ club members are also game and or vermin shooters. In the local two counties the use of mods on any centre-fire rifle used at night is mandatory. In many places - remembering how small the UK can seem to be - even daylight shooting of game/vermin requires the use of a mod so as not to scare cattle and other livestock. Unlike the place to the south of Canada there is no tax to pay, just an entry on your license to show that you have it legally.

@Andurp - glad you liked the channel - as I pointed out a few times, most of the guns I shoot there are not mine - I have only eighteen here in UK [fiftenn rifles and three handguns]. I could list them if needed, but you guys with all your fancy stuff wouldn't be impressed - totally NO semi-auto centre-fires here in UK, remember. Diopter here has seen most of them over the years, I think - he and I are both committed Swiss shooters, too, and members of swissrifles.com.

I truly wish that this site's method of posting pics was the same as that on Gunboards.com, where I can post pics to my heart's content... :(

Best to all

tac, soon to be in Belleville/Napanee/Quinté

Thanks for the video .. nice... :D

I had all m/41 three models, now just two left and they're being sold as well. Maybe I should get out to the range and give them a go with some video before they get bought. :dancingbanana:

Regards,
Doug

Tac - I'd love to hear what rifles you own! While I do very much enjoy blasting away with my SKS and Vz.58 (before the Gestapo banned it), I love milsurp bolt guns. My K31 is one of my most prized possessions, and I recently bought an M38 Mosin Nagant that I am really looking forward to punishing my shoulder with, I also have the obligatory Bubba'd Enfield that every second Canadian seems to have lying around. History was my love before guns were - I've been into history since I was ten, but I only became licensed to own firearms when I was nineteen; that was three years ago now. I have about ten guns I'd love to own that are all milsurp bolt actions and UK legal. Your Boer Mauser, particularly, is very interesting to me.

Enjoy Belleville! Both my Dad and my best friend were born there, but I've never really been.
