Man, I am having trouble getting a good sight through my scope with my stupid glasses. I have to wear bifocals and the lenses are quite small. I wonder if getting a pair of glasses with larger lenses would help? I don't want to hassle with contact lenses. Anyone with a similar experience?

I have bifocals too and small glasses...so I take them off and the scopes are adjusted to my normal eyesight. No problems then.....when shooting gophers ( I am nearsighted)..I wear them to spot them in the distance, then slip them off and look thru the scope. I have kept them on and had no real difficulty as I use the larger far sighted part of the lens. A larger set of lenses can help, but get them without the bi or close up part.

I was having problems too. I went to contacts and that only partially helped. It wasn't until I tried a scope with adjustable eye focus that everything came together.

My eyes aren't what they used to be and the adjustable eye focus worked wonders for me. I get a nice crisp reticle even after extended viewing.

Good advice. I tried using a pair of my older glasses which are bigger lenses and that seemed to help but then when I look down range everything is a bit blurry. Perhaps just using a pair made for my long distance sight might help.

I wonder if the problem might be more of getting use to bifocals in general, rather than just with scopes. Took me a year or so to accept the fact that I had to wear them and get use to them. Now, I just focus my scopes WITH my glasses on, shoot at the range all the time with a variety of scopes, without any issues. I can't imagine what a pain it would be to take your glasses off, shoot, put your glasses on, take them of, shoot, .....Well, you get the picture. BTW, I have the progressive bifocals.

I have been wearing progressive bifocals for years. I am leaning toward getting some in maybe an aviation type frame so there is more viewing area.

I wear glasses and find myself looking over the top of the frames when I shoot. Shooting at the bench I take them off.
