I know one can shoot without a PAL while under direct supervision. However if you possess an outdoors card and valid moose licence could someone hunt using someone else's rifle under direct supervision? Or would this individual be able to call or pretty much just go along for the ride? Also if one wants to get the PAL and previously had the POL will they have to challenge the course whether they have a POL now or if they let one expire?

You cannot het an H1 outdoors card (for hunting with firearms ) without a PAL. Anyone with a POL has to pass the exam just like everybody else who didn't have one.

While this is true for ontario residents, I believe an out of province hunter could gun hunt in ontario without a PAL or a POL provided they have the hunter safety requirement from their home province.

So if someone in BC has a hunters number, and an LEH tag, could he use a firearm to fill the tag. Assuming of course, the owner of the firearm (who IS properly licensed) is closely supervising??
Odd question, I know, but someone asked me, and I was unsure.

My understanding is yes.

If you had a POL license when you did your hunters course that is why you have an H1 card. You don't need a PAL unless you want new guns.
