Hello,

Anyone know a place where I can target shot a .22 on public land ? I live just north of Toronto so would be nice if its not farther than 1 hour drive.

Map of crown land in Ontario that is often posted. If you figure out said map, let me know.. because I've yet to haha.

You could gun orangeville fish and game. They have a range just north of orangeville.

I'm waiting for the safety course to coming up in Barrie gun club but until I like to go somewhere with my .22.

..LOL...city-folk!

When I was a kid, I couldn't wait to get out of my "small-town"...

Now, I'm a much older and, a bit brighter kid who, apreciates shooting in the yard! Pop on by, bring a buddy and, brick! (about 2 hours east of you)

The Crownland map is a bit tricky to apreciate and, it doesn't actually show where local by-laws start or, end. I would guess heading north, there's a belt of "horse country" (Newmarket to Orangville?...not really my turf) that you may be able to get permission to shoot on.
