Short 12 gauge slugs

I have a new Hatsan Optima semi-auto and has going to brew up some shorty slug loads - anyone know of any issues with feed problems with say a 2" load?

I would load up two "dummy" rounds without powder (replace the powder with flour) ..... and try it out ....

Finding decent and trustworthy data has been my biggest hurdle making mini-shells.

Just make sure there isn't a live primer loaded
Maybe use cream of wheat instead. Flour can actually detonate under the right conditions.

I first heard of short shells probably 6 years ago and thought, hey will these provide safer indoor shooting? But when I was told they have feeding issues in pump guns I lost interest. Of course you could shoot them in a break action with no loss of reliability.
