Short action barrel on long action receiver?

Doesn't seem like a very practical idea to me. It not like swapping barrels on my CZ455, waaay more involved.
It would be one thing to switch between say 22/250 and 308, but 308 to 300 mag, everything is different.
 
Yes I get what they are saying. No lost in translation here. Money is not the problem. Looking for something to do. Stay on target lol, not selling the gun. Gun smithing is fun. Which one of you buys a gun ready to go. Guns were made to be tinkered with

If you say it feeds good into the already large chamber of the original barrel, yes it will. But when you put on the next barrel with a smaller diameter chamber you will likely run into some feeding issues like binding or scraping of bullet or brass.

The guide rails are opened wider and may have a slightly different contour on the underside. Maybe you have a one off and all will work out well. Good Luck.
