anyone know who in canada makes or produces short ar15 barrels such as 7" or 10". I know already dlask makes barrels, but their quality is questionable. so who else has the means or produces them...

cheers...

Neither of these companies 'Produce' barrels. They have no foundries.
I believe ATR has the facilities to take 'Barrel Blanks' and make whatever they want.

Arms East and Blue Line....pretty sure they don't have any faciliteis to manufacture Barrels.
They might import them, but that is different.

AND.... What is the rush?? Why not Call each of them tomorrow.

You are correct, we do not manufacture barrels, but do have a good supply of stainless steel pre rifled barrel blanks that we will be contouring and chambering into assorted length and profile AR15 barrels.

Could you be more specific on the Dlask quality issue.
Am I to infer that you didn't like what you bought from them the last time.

Just curious.

I do have a dlask 11.5" upper, mated on a eagle lower. So far its been excellent no issues thus far, eats all my reloads and shoots pretty darn accurate with irons... i am happy with it, dont get me wrong...

i've just read quite a bit of bad reviews on posts here about their QC that im leaning towards other canadian ar manufacturers for barrels and receivers, those posts about dlask have kinda scared me away from continuing to buy from them.

cheers.

Last I heard ArmsEast will in fact be producing finished barrels for AR's in short lengths, ATR has a great reputation, that is well deserved. Regarding Dlask, take what you read here with a pound (not pinch) of salt, every manufacturer has issues from time to time. I've never handled anything from Dlask that wasn't very good indeed (this over the last 20 some-odd years) the trick is to recognize that Joe is a tradesman (old school European, where that means a lot), be polite, be reasonable (a good way to get nowhere is to ask for the near impossible, under a short time limit, for a bargain basement price), and ask for what you want- don't assume he's going to guess, for example that you want taper pins instead of roll pins, ask for taper pins and you'll get them, probably for the same price (this was an 'issue' a while back). The same advice works for all the companies whose names appear above.

Let me understand. You have a product that you are very happy with.
Fit, finish, & quality has been excellent with no issues.
Eats and spits out everything you feed it and is accurate with iron sights.

And you are worried about other people repeating what they heard off the internet with a) no specific examples and b) no first hand experience with the product.

Opinions vs fact. What will you spend your hard earned money based on?

I have a few Dlask SBR's and they all are spec and function 110%. As mentioned earlier few Canadian companies " make" AR specific barrells so you are better off finding a US made manufacturer. considering that we cant shoot more than 10 rounds off legally in SEMI-Auto these barrells will work just fine for Canadian sporting purposes.

I know Dlask would be able to provide you with whatever you needed. Im a big fan only because of the workmanship that goes in to his work.

oooo make a .458 SOCOM pistol barrel. Then get someone to make/import some 10rnd .458 socom mags. You KNOW you want to.
-.458 Socom pistol -When you need to put a fist-sized hole in something 10 feet away. And light it on fire. And hurt your wrist. All at the same time.
They will sell like hotcakes.:)

here she is... from what i can tell by what i own, its an excellent quality barrel, and it so far works very well. only issue is the plain jane compensator, but thats easily fixed...
i wouldnt mind seeing other pics of dlask sbr's if anyone has pictures as well, especially the 7".
