Short brass.

A friend just bought all the components needed to reload 30-06 but some of his brass is a little short. Read/told some where that case length is good if it is no less then 0.010" of max. Is this right? When is brass too short?

Trim-to length is typically .010 short of max. How short are they? If they are .015-.020 shorter than max you could still use them. Much shorter than that, I would chuck them. 30-06 brass is cheap.
