Short double barrel 12ga options with light rail?

Hi all - What options do we have right now for short double barrel 12ga with the ability to mount a light? Let's say 20" barrels and shorter. Don't need chokes, but I wouldn't complain about them either.

About the only one I can think of, from the factory, is the Stoeger Double Defence. The Mossberg Maverick HS-12, but it’s an O/U

The HS12 fits the bill, but the only 1 of the 3 available models that has interchangeable chokes does not have forward rails for light mounting. So you would have to choose which is more important to you.

Thanks folks. I don't mind if it's sxs or o/u, as long as it's 12ga, short barreled, and has a light rail.

KePet - Any opinions on the Stoeger Double Defense? It's the only one I can see available at retailers at the moment.

Really don’t have any experience with them. I looked at them a couple times, but the extractors turned me off. Bought one of the 14” O/u’s when Martin brought them in. (No light rail). Didn’t use it much so I sold it. Then wound up with a “Tombstone”. SXS with 12” barrels. Really like it, but again it’s not getting used so may be on the EE soon

The other thing to consider is that if you found any SXS 12 gauge you liked, including the Condor, or one of the 12” or 14” ones out there, it wouldn’t take anything to drill and tap a couple holes in the rib, and mount a piece of Magpul pic rail on it.

Okay, maybe you’d need longer than the Tombstone to be able to mount a piece of rail - not enough rib to do it, unless you mounted to the handguard. Canada Ammo used to do the Bandit with 14” barrels that would probably work - might find one on the EE

True - But I don't have a drill press, and gunsmith work is costly in my area!

There is a barrel clamp with rails made for a double barrel shotgun .

I just screwed a Pic rail onto the left side of my Outlaw's forearm.
