Short Norinco M14 weight

Quick question - how much do the short Norinco M14's with the 18 inch barrel weigh?

Also, are the stocks dimentionally the same as the longer model, ie interchangable with USGI ones?

Yeah the stocks are interchangeable, the only difference between the two models is the barrel length.

I have 2 M305 18.5 and 22 both are using USGI Wood Stocks without modification and both strangly weigh the same even tho one is longer but I believe its because one USGI stock weighs more itself then the other when weighed alone

I just threw my two new shorties up on the fish scale. They weighed 9.26lbs and 9.19lbs respectively, with an empty 5-round mag. They're both the Italian wood version, all stock parts (for the moment).
