Short range rifle match in Gander!

The range is down by the shore of Gander Lake, basically in the runway lights of runway 03 that comes in over the lake. Same road as the 101st Airborne crash site and memorial.

We have a trap house and a 100m range presently, but we are looking at pushing the range out to 300m very shortly as we have to do some pretty serious upgrades to meet the CFO's specs. Might as well expand while we have the heavy equipment there.

We also have a dandy clubhouse with full services.

It has been there for a while too, you may be dating yourself a little! :p

Best,

Pete

!!pics and results!!

Poor, drizzly, cold weather did not deter the swarthy folk who turned out for the first Gander Rod and Gun Club bullseye match. Spirits were dampened early in the morning by the discovery of a break-and-enter at our club with about $1000 of equipment stolen.

We endeavored to perservere and despite the 3 degree temperatures and light rain proceeded to shoot the following scores:

Rimfire:
Terry Babstock 9V0 83V1 = 92V1
Wayne Lorenzen 10V0 60V0 = 70V0

Iron Sights:
Dylan Driscoll 84V1 DNF = 84V1

Optics:
Greg Saunders 6V0 30V0 = 36V0

Open:
Pete Savage 100V8 100V9 = 200V17
Ben Savage 99V3 98V7 = 197V10
Scott McDougall 93V1 100V7 = 193V8

Here are some pics of the days proceedings, if someone knows how to import them properly into CGN, be my guest:
