What would be some of your recommendations to go check out?
My perimeters are:
Good field of view.
Excellent low light capability.
Reliable in harsh weather conditions(snow, rain and sub zero temps).
Fixed power/1.5-4x max.
No electronics/batteries.
Prefer duplex/heavy duplex reticle
Mat black finish.
New or used.
$500.00 max budget.
The firearm will be a <200 yarder often <100 yarder used mostly in a tree stand hunting over thick bush in low light conditions.
Deer, moose and bear are on the menu.
This is a carbine, 18.5 inch barrel, the calibre, 35 Whelen, the action, semi auto.
Very much liking a Leupold FX-ll 2.5x28mm Scout.
