not much to follow up. my shootimg partner and i
developed these locks 4 years ago, and we will never
shoot reg flinters again. we convert perc locks to these
misch metal flinters as well. you are good for 60 or so
shots before a miss fire, and then a little squirt of winsheild waher fluid on the stuck flint and ur good for another 60 shots. on the down side the pan cover is not
automatic. we use a peice of truck inertube as a pan cover.
we get about about 1000 shots from a magneisium fire
starter flint. i burned 70 or so lbs of 2f powder in the last 3 yrs. at 60 grains a shot divded into 7000 grains in a lbs,
thats a lots of shots. we use olive oil, beeswax on our patches. and we can shoot all day with no fowl build up.

hi theduck drawings??? LOL we started of useing the
flints and striker of a torch lighter. i now use a nicolson
1/2 dia file fine cut. drill 3/16 hole in the file peice.
this slides on a 1/4 " bolt(SS) that is turned down to 3/16
where the file slides. look at the vedio again and then click on the locks to the right. i prefer the horizontol
style.
